You look at yourself in the mirror every day and see a reflection staring back at you. It looks at you, but the question is, what do you see when you look back at it? A guardian? A monster? A champion? We can be whatever we want to be...the beauty of life, as they say. We have free will.
Having said that, you made a conscious decision to come to Steemit as some point in your life. Why? Is it because a friend recommended it? Are you here for the rewards? Is this "cool" and "trending" now? Everyone has their own reason...but in the end we are all here, using the site, using the technology, communicating...via the Steem blockchain.
So, my main question is...do you see value here? Do you see something worth spending time on? Is this something you think has a bright future? Would you recommend this to your friends and family?
Most people are stuck in the Facebook world. Everyone has Facebook. Do you ever look around and ask why? What does Facebook provide to us? Yes, we all have an account, and it has become easy to interact with all our friends and family there. This is a convenience. But what if Steem got as popular as Facebook? Would it not make sense to actually be rewarded for our attention, time, and information? Facebook does not provide this. They keep all the profits, and share nothing. And we sit there and give give give.
So in the end, for those of us that believe in Steem, this platform, and where it is going...the picture in this post is for all of you. It only takes a second to ask a stranger, "Have you heard about Steemit?".
Spread the good word. Let's get everyone into something that we all can own and be a part of, and stop giving everything to a company that gives nothing back. Tell a friend. Tell a co-worker. Start your own "Steem Virus"!

Lets be honest, steemit and facebook are two polar opposites . Facebook wins the competition because not only is it addicting as hell with all the gossip and cat videos , and funny memes but its very well built and you have zero expectations to make a living using it .
Steemit has many pros but still has its issues that need addressing like : REWARD POOL RAPE. It loses because most people I know expect to make a killing just buy doing the same things that they do on facebook but... clearly that isnt the case.
How many of us have posted DOPE content and had mear pennies thrown at us >_> I know I have .. Hows it feel when you see someone with shit content and they get $300+ in upvotes ? lol

Yea I hear you, and I agree for the most part. My point I guess is that this can be much better than Facebook eventually. We have a long way to go but a better product with a stronger foundation should win out, with a little help from its users.

Yes, Steemit is the future of socialmedia, step by step almost everyone getting realize that all things you do in the internet may get you a fortune, and I every minute steemit gain population little by little and soon we be populated of people seeking not only for rewards but also to meet new friends that has a valued post in steemit. thank you for your post, I do hope many people of steemit read this post to wake them to invite and share steemit platform to many people around the world.

People speculate on everything from baseball cards to beanie babies.
