We're back with a brand new Fresh 5 for December 19th. Man you guys did not make it easy on me! It is great to see so many people who I recognize out in the introduceyourself tag welcoming people into the platform! But then I have to go and find other cool new Steemians to highlight! That's oakay, more people getting exposure is great for the new Steemians!

Next we're going to head over to India, where we meet Yasar, who goes by @letyouread. He's an Internet Marketing Blogger with zero Knowledge of Steemit. He's got experience in Bitcoin, and has worked in SEO for years, but needs some education on Steem. Let's make sure he gets the help he needs so he can spread our platform to his readers!
As I was browsing through my favorite tool for finding new Steemians Harpoon Search I came across this smiling young lady from the Philippines. Austria in the House. On the browser it told me her post had earned $0.45, but by the time I got to the bottom of her post, good ole @surpassinggoogle had come by and given her a boost. Well I am going to introduce @marizen anyway, because she does a great job of introducing herself, as well as some of the local culture in her area. Head over and check out the lanterns and eats that she is sharing in her post.
I am a sucker for a catching post title, and Dragon Hunters on Steemit, is just the kind of title that catches my attention! Meet @sown4steem, a Canadian currently living in China. His bilingual introduction introduces us to his organic farming, and specifically to the Dragon Fruit. No, not the Dragons I was looking for, but interesting nonetheless. Head over and give him a warm welcome. Just hold back on the fire breathing!
Finally today we're jumping back over to the Unites States to meet a young lady who came to North Carolina from Russia, and is passionate about sharing her art. Nice to meet you and merry crytomas introduces us to Marina. She graduated from Theatrical Art Academy, but also paints, and even dabbles in claymation! Go over and see some of the things she is working on and give her a warm welcome!

Welcoming New Steemians Contest
Do you ever wonder why I use #welcomingcomittee as one of my tags? The brainchild of @inquiringtimes is the Welcoming Committee and a set of contests that are sponsored by some great witnesses: @reggaemuffin, @aggroed, @ausbitbank & @swelker101. These fine folks have put 700 STEEM and a Steem Power Delegation up for Steemians who make it their mission to help new Steemians by creating tools for new Steemians to use as almost a guidebook to Steem. The Third Contest is going on now, and the post includes dozens of helpful links that new Steemians should find very useful. The challenge this time around is to take the information in the links posted and create your own New Steemian Welcome Guide. Top Two Contestants will each receive 50 Steem, currently worth over $150 USD. So please go over and show your support for this great project!

( https://steemit.com/photography/@intrepidphotos/hardy-souls-looking-for-some-inner-peace ) . Still trying to work out what is the best way to present it. Have also been posting via steepshot in the hope that expands the audience a little.

I have received positive replies to my post since I published. Thanks again @mikepm74 and I would like to congratulate other four steemians @forestlights @sown4steem @marizen @marinaart who has also featured on The Fresh 5 post along with myself. Looking forward to reading out all your posts and it's going to be fun and interesting.

Thank you for including information about me in your post. I would be happy to answer on the questions if anyone have it. I use to paint more then wright an articles and for me will be easier to answer on the questions then trying to tell story....Some of my painting won local and state awards ..I have a bag of ribbons in my attic .:)

One tip I like to share with artists is, when you are making a new piece that you are going to share on Steem, try to take some pictures of the process while you create. If you post those along with the finished work, that shows us that you really are the person who created the art. There are a lot of people out here just finding pictures online and posting them as their own, so it is always best to stand out and show that you really are doing the pieces you are sharing!
With my new artwork I can take a pictures of the process but with art that was sold I can't really do it. I do not paint with oils much lately because kids getting in everything and it is hard to clean after them . I will post old and new works hope people will at least look at it :)

Hahahaa, I feel like a kid who has been busted with their hand in the cookie jar... I always do zone out during that last bit... but I'm very curious about this content. I think I'm good guide material because I'm only slightly less confused than when I started... so I'm just a step ahead of a total newbie.

Meh. I would zone out too with the same information in every post. It's a template, you're used to it. The bottom part is mostly for the new people... but I wanted to make sure everyone knew about the contest, as that is open to everyone. So if you have the time, you are going to get post rewards regardless of how the contest finishes, but you might win STEEM too!
