We're back with a brand new Fresh 5 for December 23rd. Trying to make sure I get at least one in this weekend before the holiday. I am not going to promise to get a new Five out for you all the next two days. Maybe I will have time, maybe I won't. I'm guessing I'll be back on Tuesday, but I may also surprise myself with some time over the next couple of days and get another one out.

Far From Classy, is a really interesting way to introduce yourself to Steem. So is the username @ovenchicken. I want to know the story behind choosing that name! Maybe it has something to do with eating loads of chicken wings. Let's head over to the post and ask about this interesting individual!
Introducing Bbleehehh9. I sure hope he wrote that handle down, because I sure wouldn't be able to remember that! Dave has a lot going on with his intro post, but one thing that stood out to me is that he is a writer for RotoWorld. He's bringing some Fantasy Sports to Steem, and it is about time! I think there is definitely a space here for fantasy writers to monotize their content better! I hope Dave is just the first of many. Make sure you give him a warm welcome!!

Do you ever wonder why I use #welcomingcomittee as one of my tags? The brainchild of @inquiringtimes is the Welcoming Committee and a set of contests that are sponsored by some great witnesses: @reggaemuffin, @aggroed, @ausbitbank & @swelker101. These fine folks have put 700 STEEM and a Steem Power Delegation up for Steemians who make it their mission to help new Steemians by creating tools for new Steemians to use as almost a guidebook to Steem. I would happily second that! Just like @mikepm74 said, half of it is engaging through comments and other means (discord channels, just for an example). With limited exceptions, the people here are warm and welcoming, you just can't be afraid to reach out to them!
