Today I happened to be part of the Steemit Ugandan team that visited Kyambogo university. We were a team of five people and am glad to announce that I was the only lady that participated as seen in the pictures above. The lady in a black and white striped jacket happens to be me.
So as part of today's promotion, we visited kyambogo university which happens to be among the five government universities in Uganda. We moved around the different faculties and made sure we talked to everyone about steemit.

We started off with the faculty of Education . The students here were quite exciting. I mean you know how teachers behave. They had a lot of questions ranging from how do we earn , to how does the owner of the platform benefit , how do I see how much I have earned and very many other questions came up. And trust me by the time we left, everyone was excited and all their questions were answered and very many people signed up accounts. Among them is @kayrema you will be meeting her soon. She is one of the ladies we signed up today.
We then moved onto the faculty of sciences where we met scientists busy reading for their final semester exams. Despite the fact that they were so busy and so absorbed into their books, we didn't not hesitate to ask for a few minutes of their time to tell them about steemit. We distributed our flyers to them and they all said please tell us more about steemit. We explained to them how it is possible to make side income as you study and they were really excited. Some of them happened to be in their final year and they were very excited to learn that there is something they are going to be trying out as they look for jobs in their particular fields. Some went ahead to tell us how they will not bother looking for employment if steemit can help them earn a living.
The questions we met at this faculty were less challenging compared to the ones we met at the former one.

We later moved to many more other faculties and gave out steemit flyers to each and everyone and trust me very many were excited as you see in the pictures above.
People don't believe that one can earn money by just blogging, voting and commenting. To many of them it was shocking to know that steemit is here to do exactly that.
Honestly I must say it was a great experience today trying to promote steemit as a team. Usually I have been doing it on a personal basis but today I learnt that it's faster and more fun if you do it as a team. Team work is key
Soon we shall have a lot of kyambogo university students on the platform and if you are out there and you are a student earning from steemit. Join hands with me and welcome them as soon as their accounts are made active.

Lastly I want to thank the entire team that I was out with today, @jaraumoses, @jordanlove, @battebilly, @yohan2on for the work well done in promoting steemit in Uganda. I also want to thank the promo-steem community and not forgetting @steem-ambassador for the good work that you are doing. Cheers
