Its no longer news that Steemit is the best blockchain out there in terms of connecting with people and helping individual growth. For example, check the #untalented-adjustments tag to see how large numbers of people have benefitted from Steemit.

Let's see some of the features of Steemit that make it so attractive;

There are still so many other advantages including;
- Earning from blogs
- Crypto-education
- Building of businesses and helpful concepts
- Running on Witnesses and
- Encouraging good social etiquettes etcz.
We even rank quite well on the Alexa at among the Top 1500 websites in the world. We were just top 2000 about 3-4 weeks ago which shows a very rapid growth.

However, despite all these we are still hugely unknown. My aim for this post to to prevent a situation where a major market-maker can take over all what we have worked so hard on.
For example see what Mark Zuckerber of Facebook said some few days ago;
There are important counter-trends to this — encryption and cryptocurrency — that take power from centralized systems and put it back into people's hands, but they come with the risk of being harder to control. I'm interested to go deeper and study the positive and negative aspects of these technologies, and how best to use them in our services."
Zuckerberg wrote in his 2018 mission statement issued on Thursday last week.
For him to say it, it means he's already got something in the works and he's just merely positioning himself to take over the crypto-social atmosphere. You know why? Simply because he can. If he makes any major moves an incorporates Cryptocurrency/blockchain technology into Facebook then we are all out of business big time.
Let's look at some of the Statistics of Facebook;
- USERS: Worldwide, there are over 2.01 billion monthly active Facebook users which is a 17 percent increase year over year
- AGE: Facebook was created in 2004 which will be exactly 14 years old on 4th of February this year
- ALEXA RANKING: Its the 3rd most popular website in the world (including US)
- Revenue: US$27.638 billion (2016)
- Operating income: US$12.427 billion (2016)
- Net income: US$10.217 billion (2016)
- Total assets: US$64.961 billion (2016)
- Total equity: US$59.194 billion (2016)
- Employees: 20,658 (June 30, 2017)
- NASDAQ: $187.921 (Today)
With all these listed, its obvious that a social media company like Facebook has alot of competitive advantage over Steemit because of capital, popularity, connections and even internet ranking.
Some of the advantages that we have is the fact that we are decentralized. But I believe they can easily work that into their model and start rewarding people for their posts depending on Facebook popularity etcz. They also know that many people are resistant to change so it will be easy for them to convince Facebook oldbies to stay on their website.

The only real advantage we have is QUICK ACTION!
I will then take some few minutes to point out some nit-bits from a very TIMELESS BOOK *The 22 Immutable Laws of Marketing by Al Ries and Jack Trout.
The First Law (law of leadership) states:
Being first in the market is better than having a better product.
Examples:
- we all remember who first flew over Atlantic or who was the first man on the moon but almost no-one knows who was the second
- Heineken was the first imported beer in USA and still is No. 1 imported beer
- Being first doesn't matter if the idea/product is not good.
Being first here is not necessarily about developing the product, its about MARKETING THE PRODUCT to the appropriate target audience.
So the first to reach the audience WINS THE GAME!
This is is exactly WHY WE NEED TO MOVE QUICKLY
- Working by the already delineated principles from the analysis above... we need to gather all our creative muscles and shoot.

- Let's go out there on Faceboo, Twitter, Instagram and even real-life (Like @ackza does) and really promote Steemit.

- Tell them to come for the money.
- Tell them that Steemit has the best community they can ever find anywhere else
- Tell them that meritocracy exists here.
- Tell them everything about us that they may see and believe!

Wow, just take a look at all of that stats. We're really gonna make something marvellous outta this blockchain this year. Not just in our personal lives, but in the larger, bigger, wider picture; The society!

I agree there are so many new steemians every day; I have been seeing the stats posted here on steemit. The more we spread the word, the bigger it gets, but also you will find the active steemians becoming stronger. Many who have joined have left due to lack of monetary/cyrptocurency get rich now attitudes.
I'm here long term but unfortunately I don't frequent FB or twitter anymore. They lost their luster over the last year.. but I may reconsider if it means my home-base (steemit) gets more recognition.

The last time I went to Facebook was really to broadcast steemit to my friends and family.
So we should all take that shot at spreading the goodnews of Steemit.

Heck yea. I still use FB, Twitter, G+, Flipboard, and StumbleUpon to promote my own blogs.
A couple years back I stalled on a business blog that I just didn't have the time (or much knowledge) for.
Now, every post goes straight to my social pages. This one will too. :)

We really need a big push now in case some other competitor pops up and tries to steal steemit's place.
I am trying to do my bit by promoting steemit in Wales in the UK.

We are already looking at doing a steemit meet up here in Benin. Every day we register and put new users through on how to go about steeming.

@nairadaddy until your understand the benefit of somethin person will continue to stress and do handwork. This era we are now handwork is not the best but smart work. I have also take it up upon myself to brin as many to steemit and let them too benefit from this flow of steem and sbd.

Wow! This is by far one of the best posts I've read on this platform so far, you have a great foresight indeed, and I think @ned and the entire team (me inclusive) need to do something really fast about this. We need to take the word out and cause a massive and quick revolution in the world.
