The long awaited Steemib Meetup has come like a thief in the night. Everyone was looking radiant, excited and eager to learn more from the persons of @samstickkz @tojukaka @gee1 @ewuoso @ejemai @thelovejunkie @gbenga @ehiboss @nairadaddy @destinysaid @fisteganos the speakers for the August event.
As I’ve said , everyone looked alive... and love was in the air as Steemians arrived the venue.
@samstickkz was the first speaker and he talked about blockchain in an interactive manner. Blockchain was explained in diverse ways. But simply put Blockchain is a decentralized database, where many digital exchanges could take place . He also talked about investing in crypto currencies and its importance by monitoring the daily rise and fall in crypto currencies with http://blocktivity.info/

The second speaker @tojukaka explained the steemit as a marketing solution, tockenizing social media and a community for smart minds and the general people who are ready to add value to the community and the whole world at large.

He later explained steemit as a non violence platform, talked about how the reward is broken down.
And fortunately for the house, a short interactive break occurred when an audience stood up with the issue of not being able to redeem rewards which some present whales attended to. He talked about good content and ability to socialize, recognize and choose a niche and showing passion in the steemit community. Prove of tears as explained by him is how to moneytize your tragedy by putting it out there and getting help cause steem it is based on love .
And unto the next speaker @gee1 talked about some Heath tips. She got interactive asking and illustrating those things to steemit and it’s precedings
She talked about the essence of patience and consistency, the energy and power released unto to you by establishing relationships as enermous.
She talked things to post, how to post and to which tag some kinda posts belongs to and how to use them nicely. She advised on investment in order to grow on steemit.
And unto the next speaker @ejemai talked about stach and the stachhub to be setup here in Ibadan. He talked about his experiences as a minnow, a touching and inspiring experience teaching new Steemians to endure and be consistent. He talked about adding value to the steemit community and steem shall be added unto you.
He said so many things I won’t be able to point out but all he said was mostly on adding value to Steemit Community and how amazingly value would be added unto you inform of sbds and steems plus steempower.
The next speaker @thelovejunkie talked about steemit etiquette. She talked about polite ways to build relationships on steemit. Not posting nudity and importance of NSFW tag if you’re posting nudity. Not being a stalker , don’t be full of drama , don’t beg for upvotes, share love and let love flow among Steemians.
The next speaker @ehiboss speaker talked about account securities and password. He advised about password safety and it’s importance. The implication of account theft as a loss of identity , lost of connects with people you’d built relationships over the time you had spent on steemit and reputations.
He talked about ways to keep passwords and permission keys
• Storing in draft files
• Storing in folders on electronic devices
• Changing your account password if threat is felt
What to do when account is compromised
• Remain Calm and to think
• Leaving a disclaimer notice of compromised account
• Determine the level of damage and implement damage control
The next speaker @gbenga talked about Steemit Abuse in terms of spamming, plagiarism and the likes of it

• Comment on such post
• Flag such post as a way of disapproval

The next speaker @destinysaid talked about steem app regarding services on steemit community

He talked about the D apps....Dtube, Dsound, Dlive & others as these apps will add value to you unlike their counterparts not based on the steem blockchain

Am really happy to see this happening in my country, because most of Nigerians dont believe better things can come from the internet after MMM crashed 2years back. Steemit would change so many things with its love of creative contents. We need to spreads the good news of steemit all over Nigeria and africa. Nice work bro.
