The biggest excuses I've gotten so far:
- Too busy
- I'll wait till it's mainstream so I know it's legit
- Too many spammers
In regards to @tremendospercy's comment about ads - I imagine they'd be able to be switched on and off in the same way NSFW content is... And anyone voluntarily viewing ads should make a % of the ad revenue... Do you think that model would be tolerable?
That would be tolerable, as long as I don't have to see that junk!
I'd have ads switched off mainly because my PC doesn't need the extra strain of slow loading ads... but I suppose if Steemit was collecting ad revenue, the price would skyrocket and I could have a better system :)
(And yeah, I'd still block the ads with a more powerful pc)
