PLANNING
Over a month ago the leads of SteemPH UAE sat down and planned the possible meet ups in second quarter of the year. It was then agreed to set 28th April as Abu Dhabi's Second Meet & Greet and tentatively marked 11th May for Northern Emirates First Meet Up.
As we were also tied up with our own work and commitments, follow up meetings were done through our core group chats. Compared to our First Meet & Greet, fund raising for this event became a challenge as SBD payouts were quite low. Hence, we came up with registration fee for each attendee.
We booked Juancho's Billiards & Asian Cuisine, Abu Dhabi for three hours. Up to last minute we were open for more attendees but others were tied up with their prior commitments making themselves unavailable.Let me share to you how we pulled off our Second SteemPH UAE Second Meet & Greet. With it's success, I am quiet sure it's just a beginning of something bigger for @steemph.uae.
EVENT
We are familiar with others steemit usernames hence each were handed a sticker with their steemit username on registration. It helped us to easily recognize and finally put real-faces on each usernames.
We started our early dinner while waiting for others to come. As always, Juancho's Billiards & Asian Cuisine serves delicious meals and that is the very reason why I keep on recommending or rather they are my first choice whenever I am booking a place for some event.
They have affordable food, staff are very accommodating and with cozy ambiance that will make you feel welcome. They also have Billiards hall where some of the tournaments are being held, Karaoke and a hall with billiard table; best place to hangout with a group.
FOOD
Everyone enjoyed the food. We had Mushroom Soup, Asian Salad, Shrimp Pancit Canton, Dynamite Chicken, Vegetables Springrolls, Sweet & Sour Fish and of course... RICE!! Leche flan for dessert and we had Iced Tea and water.
DISCUSSIONS
The main topics discussed were:
* Protect Your Account From Scam and Phishing Attempts
* Plagiarism & Copyright
* Community Engagement
* Powering Up
Upcoming activities like Dubai Meet Up on May 11, Blood Donation on May 24 in Abu Dhabi and joining Philippine Embassy Bayanihan Project for Independence Day in June were also shared.
Members' inputs were also discussed like curation of daily featured posts, how to make our SteemPH UAE family grow bigger and suggestions for more charity works that we can take.

The Meet & Greet was an intimate one where everyone participated in discussion and imparted their own opinion, with that I am quite sure it is indeed a success!

Keeping oneself active in steemit is indeed a great challenge. We had an open discussion on possible reasons why others are stopping. @arrliinn reiterated how community engagement is important for you to survive in the community. She also suggested ways in powering up and encourages everyone to keep posting and try to find their own niche.
@kennyroy shared his initiatives in the community and supplied us words of encouragement to keep us going.
