McAfee is a cool guy. Instead of shilling for the corporate bankers he actually cares about the world and is doing something to change it for the better. Props to him!

I feel the same about McAfee. It are the different thinkers in the world like him who actually change the world. A bit like Steve Jobs did.
They say that... Watch the new show an Amazon Series; Startup... Its a series on crypto... Essentially, no one gives a toss about ethics and morals. It's all about profits... This might just create new pumps and dumps since >50% Crypto transactions are on these alt coins
There will always be those who only care about profit, in a profitable area. But there are many that care about something deeper than that.

I most certainly will enjoy having him on Steem board. There are a few other people as well who I'd like to see around here. Do you have a short list of people who you would like to see joining Steemit?
IT's crazy cause it's true. I too would like to see him on Steemit. It would give his opinions some validity. I liked him ever since I saw his interview with Chris Derose a year or so ago. He's the kind of voice I hope to weave into my new Steem Magazine that I hope to balance new steemit members with legacy steemers will some outside voices like his. I just hope the twitter storm settles. We shall see.

McAfee becoming the Icahn/Ackman/Einhorn of crypto.
Anything he endorses will be pumped (for good reason).
I agree if he mentions Steem we should see a new ATH.

Also, I'm quite new here, and something strange just happened, I upvoted your post, and normally when I do it they rise 1 or 2 cents, but this one jumped up by about 8 dollars.... do you know why that happened? Must be good for you though! Thanks , Rob
Hi @lifeoptimsation, and welcome, I have been here only for a few months. That used to happen to me as well. Seemed to be random, I tried a few different things to try to pin it down and nothing worked. If you vote at the same time as several people it jumps up in an instant. If you gain any insight please let me know.
Pretty sure that you are just seeing other people’s votes mingling with yours. The post value needs to refresh, so particularly if you’ve been reading the article, all the time you’ve been reading new votes have been occurring. When you click to place your vote, it refreshes the counter in your browser and can create the seeming jump if a lot of activity was happening.
*to clarify- the mingling votes aren’t making them more powerful either, votes are determined entirely by Steem Power and vote strength percentage. If there was a big jump, one or more of the voters just had significant power.

That would be awesome, hopefully he takes notice to your comment! He is very vocal about security and privacy coins like monero and verge, so I am sure those will take precedence on his list before a social media platform. But, he also see's innovation before many, so who knows!

I love John Mcafee, but I think we all forget that he might have murdered someone lol
he supported SAFEX which was banned one day after his tweet from all the exchanges... I dont know if we can rely too much in this guy.... what do you think @stephenkendal? I already follow you friend! greetings from Spain mate! :)

Imagine big companies moving their entire software infrastructure to the Steem blockchain. The price would take off like never before because they'll need quite some Steem to start off. We can only wonder what 2018 will bring us.
This site has so much potential it feels amazing to even be apart of it in the early stages.

To shake up the tree a bit, how many pumps and dumps will happen if Steem is last on his list? Or if it is left off the list?
Nice. Just followed you on Twitter. Already following McAfee. He had commented about Steem and Steemit early on. I think his criticism at the time was that it lacked liquidity. Not sure if he still feels that way. Definitely more liquid than when he said that, but takes a while to get it out if you're powered up. I guess depending on who you ask it's either a feature or a flaw. Good thing about it, is if you don't want any clout on the social media platform, it can be as liquid as the day is long.
It's still amazing to me how much power can be unleashed in a single tweet.
I hope he talks about steem,Fun,BAT and Rai. Im curious what else is on his mind of potential coins
