The meet up yesterday was great, exciting, and very remarkable. Many newbies were helped to learn several technicalities of Steemit. I personally presented about dlive and other decentralised apps. I advised the entire community to start using other Dapps rather than sticking on only written blog posts on Steemit. With the view that people are different and everyone has a special talent and a natural ability in doing a particular thing. In the concept of the steem blockchain and the apps built on it. Some can be good at videography therefore such category of people need to use Dtube and Dlive which is more ideal for them.
Why Dtube?
Dtube is a crypto incentive platform being that it’s built on the steem blockchain. Video Content creators and curators are rewarded for their contributions on the platform.
Commissions or fees levied on the broadcasters
The broadcasters use the platform for free with out paying any single penny to use the platform hence this provides many people with a great opportunity to enjoy huge profits out of their efforts and time invested in creating content.
Fair platform
It’s a fair platform as it doesn’t exhibit favouritism that is via visibility and monetisation of only a selected particular topics and users on the platform. Its open to the public where whoever uses the internet can monitor and evaluate its service.
Its Ads free
Dtube does not run adverts. Therefore provides more freedom to users to enjoy the platform without being interrupted by the annoying pop up adverts in the midst of watching the videos. However the broadcasters are free to chip in adverts of whatever they are dealing in and this is at their own risk of loosing subscribers. There
It’s not censored
Dtube is not censored in away that it has no strict guidelines on which kind of content the broadcasters ought to broadcast but the users are the ones to judge through the power of their upvotes and down votes on the kind of content published by any other user on the platform. Hence this leaves many with a great liberty while interacting with the platform.
Dlive
This is a crypto decentralised live video streaming platform that is built on the steem blockchain. It is not only limited to gaming content but also other video content can be broadcasted through it.
How do you get ideas on what to write about every day.
@ireneblessing advised the newbies to read more of other steemians and comment as well and in the process you benefit by picking up ideas from the content of others that you keep reading. She is a good writer who writes about so many things and never runs out of what to write about. Many were glad for having discovered this secret about her.
It was such a nice and very interactive session we had as a Steemit community. People were encouraged to continue steeming despite of the prices in crypto.
I personally advised them to promote Steemit like never before because this is something that can really fetch them a great lot of support from the different whales and dolphins on the platform.
We all began by introducing ourselves of who are? When? And why did we join Steemit? And through this we all got to learn about each other’s names and a little bit of more details about each which is good for relationship building.

Steem is a liquid cryptocurrency that can exchanged into other cryptos or cashed out into fiat.
Steem power refers to steem that is in vests or shares form on Steemit. This improves the value of your vote. The more steem power one possesses is the more influence that one has over curation rewards. Therefore it’s very important to invest in steem power in order to earn more from curating on good content.
He has accumulated his own steem power that is over 500 steem power. With his experience and trust he has for the platform he greatly advised every one of us to invest in steem power. Steemit is growing and time is going to come when the value of steem will increase in a couple of years to come. So it’s very important to invest today and hold some steem in steem power.
what are the apps built on the steem blockchain?
I discussed this question for the community. Where I began from the point of laying down my experience that I have so far had while interacting with the steem blockchain with its various Decentralised apps. I explained to them the different dapps starting with Dlive which I have just adopted one of these days. I went further by also talking to them about the different other dapps suchas Dtube, Steepshot, Dsound.
Dtube is the first crypto decentralised video platform that is built on the steem blockchain and the IPFS peer to peer network.

@musamalijames handled this question where he narrated to us of his great experience he has had so far when it comes
to the technicality of commenting. He was indeed a great candidate to handle this issue as many people neglect this tactic of commenting. As he shared with the community he paused challenging question like
How do you expect to get noticed by the whales and dolphins if you don’t comment on their posts?
People were great sensitised and received this kind of wise advise for a successful and wonderful experience on the platform.
@tesaganewton handled the questions evolving around bots.
He was like there are bots that can support your content through delegating some steem power to them. He is some one that earns more money from Steemit than any other Ugandan on Steemit.
He unveiled to us an opportunity of receiving support from some steemians from simply buying some lit and hold it In your wallet for some time.
He also shared with us about the importance of discord channel and all other Steemit chart platforms. These help you to build relationships with various steemians who in turn keep visiting your blog and reward you with some good upvotes basing on the quality of your content.
