CHELSEA LOST POINTS AGAINST BRIGHTON DESPITE LUKAKU HOT FORM

Chelsea football team lock horns with Brighton at stamford bridge today to proceed to the second half of the season. One would be expecting Chelsea to come out victorious from the match but unfortunately the match ended frustratingly as Brighton ended up sharing the point with Chelsea in a match that ended 1-1.

Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku was the first person to score for Chelsea in the first half of the encounter with a beautiful header from the corner crossed by Mason Mont.

Despite taking the lead, Brighton kept on forcing their ways to Chelsea box but Chelsea kept on absorbing the pressure until the first minute of extra time when former Arsenal player Danny Welbeck savage a point.

On the other hand Manchester City who also had a match with Brentford. Despite having similarity with Chelsea by scoring the only decisive goal in the first half courtesy of goal scored by Foden. City hold on to the goal till the end.

City are still in first position and they are having fifty points from twenty matches while Chelsea are currently in second position with forty-two points.

Chelsea will be without some key players by January when the AFCON will commence players such as Chelsea number one goal keeper Edward Mendy and Hakimi Ziyech will be representing both Senegal and Morocco respectively in the AFCON till February.
