So yes I'm a newb. I also learn fast but mostly because I ask a lot of questions. I don't like to bug one person too much so think I'll ask the hive and see how it goes.
I downloaded one of those keychain apps and wonder how trustworthy they actually are? Today when I went to log in it popped up and asked me for my wallet password to open my wallet? I didn't ask to see my wallet mr keychain? I just wanted to login (post) so why u askin? I didn't like it especially after I put the wallet PW in and it said it was wrong!!!! WTF
Sooooo question, can these keychains be hacked? Which one is the safest? Or do you not recommend any? Just keep my keys to myself?
Thanx in advance for all your advise you wise old hivers.

I use the keychain app and like it. It provides access to other HIVE apps without having to do the login process and makes transactions possible on some apps. The HIVE password it may be wanting is the password that was originally sent to you.
See picture:
A that might be a problem as I was gifted the account so might not have such a thing, He only gave me all the keys.
I'm always dubious, but running multiple front ends, multiple accounts, trading tokens...yeah I use hivesigner sometimes....only that one though
but mostly I use my account posting keys to log in
LOL I freaked and deleted the app. Sure I can re-install but I find if I keep my keys on a dongle it's easy enough to copy paste them when I need em. Firefox has stored my posting key anyway. Not sure I wanna bother or not.
Posting keys are pretty harmless, but don't let it save your active key
OK thanx will do
a person with one facebook account has one simple password which just logs in automatically anyway
a theoretical person with 10 hive accounts, each with 5 keys, who is using 4 front-ends on 6 different computers and devices, each running 5 browsers - needs a damn good spreadsheet!
and if those numbers were conservative, he might get confused sometimes...
