Bally park, a park that invites you for a relaxing walk. About 1868 Carl Franz Bally, the founder of the Bally shoe factories, started to improve the moorland between Olten, Aarau and the River Aare. On the newly land, first built a commercial canal to power the company's own power station, continued by building the first park, which was destined as a relaxation area for the workers and the locals.
A pile-dwelling settlement was built on a small lake, and a former spycher is evidence of the building history of the Mittelland and Aargau.
Here was the successful shoe factories of the 1950s and 1960s, as well as workers' canteen and housing.
