When crypto crashed it was my first cycle, and I thought oh, I guess that's dead now darn. I built up my yoga teaching practice and other interests. Meanwhile, y'all made the move here from the previous blockchain and built amazing things. We have a strong core and are building out into so many areas. It's hard for me to catch up on all you've done while I was away!
I'm so sad that I missed out on the times you were all together strengthening community, discussing ideas, and building. How would I have contributed?

The accounts of people I knew from the previous blockchain's accounts are into tens of thousands of dollars in value or even $100,000. Mine has miniscule growth. My old friends' reputations are up ten plus points. I just got mine up one.
It's certainly not too late. This is only the beginning. But with my other interests that take up my time daily, most of my time on Hive bc is spent reading things I'm interested in and acquainting myself with people in the community as well as contributing my own content. I learn only what feels like a tiny amount of the specifics of how things work and the different projects on the bc.
My heart hurts when I think about what could have been! Having crypto currency riches has been my favorite dream: building my own wealth while building something greater than me.
journey from poverty to wealth through the Hive blockchain, the vision and dedication he has, the work he does to bring people from his community here from NigeriaAll I can do is say thank you for all you've all done! When I read about @starstrings01's , my heart positively swells. The lovely, lovely people he's brought into our community. The evolution of @taskmaster4450's vision over the years and how he's honed it. How @kennyskitchen has been in the trenches working with others to improve the way things work here.
This platform of opportunity just waiting for me and others!
Remember, "money" and "wealth" and such are simply the result of holding a vibration of gratitude, and not resisting the infinite abundance that is the Universe.
No physical world manifestation (like Hive) can ever be causal - as it exists in the world of effect.
Love this advice. Thank you. You've done very well for yourself in this department, so I appreciate it and receive it.
The biggest lesson of Hive: do not leave no matter what.
We see it every cycle. Either people get upset over the price or something else that is taking place and depart.
When things turn around, they return only to find that we kept chugging ahead. Meanwhile, they stalled out since they did nothing.
Rinse and repeat.
I noticed the last couple weeks my feed is slowing as the prices in crypto drop....like clockwork.
Well and it's about so much more than just making money on our posts. But that's why what you do here on this platform is so important. Most of what you see in regards to crypto pretty much anywhere is in regards to its monetary value. Maybe some surface technological stuff. But it's the ramifications it will bring to humanity that's where it's really at. I was able to bring it up again the other day on reddit in a non-crypto sub. It was received well, but of course someone came along (they always do) to say yEaH BuT nfTs R sCAmS 2 tAKe pPL's mOnEy and then preceded to shut down the conversation.
Welcome back!
I'm done with Hive myself; this is a centralized platform, pretending not to be.
There are (at most) 5-6 people that run it (stake & dev) and the most decentralized it can be is 20 people, due to the top20 witness model.
The fact that most of those at the top of the pile are pro-government, anti-freedom, "leftists" is just the shit-cherry on top of the sundae of bullshit.
That's unfortunate. I hope we can work through it or innovate something new as you've recommended.
I waited and hoped for almost 6 years that something would change, before finally admitting that I was simply being strung along by bullshit mythology.
The problems with Hive are built in to the code of Hive.
Do you know what could be done to fix it?
Nothing - It's a failed experiment.
dPoS guarantees that those with the most money run everything.
"Top 20" witnesses assure that it's always an oligarchy when it comes to governance.
Even if the code wasn't totally fucked - Steem/Hive was launched with the scam-rich "ninja mine" - which the witnesses gave to themselves when they deleted steemit inc.
Do you know how blockchain social media/content creation sites could be made to solve the problems you stated above?
There are any number of potential ways, but obviously NOT dpos, obviously NOT with centralized governance, obviously with a legitimate, not scammy launch of the coin, just to name a few.
I'm only using Odysee.com (LBRY blockchain) and Flote.app myself.
