I need Milk(4.09), Cheese (13.99/kg deal), Salad (2.49), Coffee Cream (5.49/L), Bagels(2.19), Apples (2lbs@ 2.49lb), Cat Food (8.99), Cat treats (3.79), Pretzels(1.99), Cereal(5.59), Cucumber (2.49), Crackers (3.19), GingerAle(6.99), Honey (8.99).
My guess was this would cost around $35. After adding up all the prices, I am looking at 87.26 plus tax, and that is including the discount prices. At the checkout with discounts came to 78.63, a full 2.24 times what I figured it would cost. Next year it will probably cost $120 CAD for the same items!!
What is on your grocery list?
Inflation is out of control. How does anyone afford anything these days?
It's crazy, every time it's more expensive and I only buy the same things. I used to drive an elderly man to the store and he used to tell me, every week for 30 years he buys the same things and every week it was more expensive. Thankfully I can survive on this for a while but I can't imagine if I had kids.
