Yeah I'm a bit confused what direction to go next.
Hey guys.
Just as the heading says, I am not to sure what I want to be doing that I am no longer a live streamer on @vimm. And i'm having a tough time on what direction I want to move forward in to.
The vast majority of my posts on the Hive blockchain were from Vimm live streams. I got into a routine of live streaming that it was second nature to me. I would sit down at the end of my day and open up some retro games I wanted to play that night, fire up OBS Studio, hit the post button on Vimm when I went live and away we go. Now that is no longer the case.
It was a routine I have done for quite a few years. Yeah I have dabbled at making posts related to AI image creation, did @threespeak videos about retro games, and made short form posts on @dbuzz and @InLeo Threads. Nothing really seemed to tickle my fancy so to say, or to at least stick with it.
I would love to write more, yet I am not a very good writer at the moment. I'm not confident in myself when it comes to writing.
And then what do I write about? That is something I am really having a hard time coming up with. What subjects do I have a passion about or am knowledgeable? I just don't want to be putting pee pee poo poo out into the world.
Also I have not really been into the various communities here on Hive. I have noticed that the post with more engagement tend to be in communities. Maybe I need to get into a few and make my self known to the people there? It's something I have to seriously consider. But then again, if I don't know what subjects I would like to write about, how am I going to find a community to participate in? LOL it's all so tiresome.
So for now that is where I am at currently. Trying to figure things out. I know this is pretty much a personal/self centered post, but yeah, I really need to get this off my chest.
So if you have read this, thank you for letting me vent. And if you have any suggestions, I'm all ears.
Sometimes venting already helps you find your path, so no worries at all.
Maybe just start typing a draft, don't think about a community or such, just write. And then let it sit and go over it hour or days later to decide whether you want to edit or post it. At that point you could consider finding a community that this particular content fits into and post to it.
I am assuming that you are still gaming even though you are not streaming it anymore. But if you want to post about a cool game or two there's the Hive Gaming community.
If it's more about daily life, joys or struggles - Silver Bloggers is a community I am currently looking into and considering posting to.
Most of all, don't pressure yourself, that - in my experience - will lead to blogging block. Sometimes all it takes is having a few drafts in PeakD and pick one and continue typing.
Looking forward to reading your next post!
Thanks for the advice oceanbee. I will definitely give that a shot.
If you would like my opinion? Do challenge runs and post on three speak, but literally the only reason why I was on HIVE was because of vimm, and I really have no purpose for it. My entire HIVE existence was to support Vimm... And I cannot anymore, so I enjoy people, but maybe it is time, myself, to stop beating around the bush and move on with my life, but IDK how.
I really hope that we can find a way to make VIMM 2.0 a reality. Time will tell...
I would really like vimm 2.0, but I have not heard much about it.
in all honesty, I love 3speak as a concept but the community is sorta lame and SMALL
Right. 3speak is pretty South American dominated. Which is cool but kind of difficult for us non spanish speakers.
Yeah vimm was pretty much my presence on Hive. I am a big believer in Hive and want to hang around, it just I'm not sure which is the best way for me to do that.
We understand your situation, just make it simple and first be visible with short-form content here on DBuzz or on InLeo and later on you will discover what community suits your niche.

Right on. Thanks for the advice.
I hope you find your way Dude - If you are into AI, music, blockchain music, or anything else that applies to Web3 Metal I'd be happy to work with you on stuff in a writer/editor relationship
Thanks Shawn!
