I delegate 1000 hp to ecenecy.com and get 100 points and .434 HIVE a day back. but it depends on how active you are. you get 15 points for composing a post, ~1 point for voting manually, and .25 points every 10 minutes your active in the ecency.com front end, also there are other methods to earn points.
My roommate has made over 3 HIVE from his points in one month and he has nothing to delegate outside of what he has earned so far.
im not sure, i know he boosted 2 of his posts which really seems to give him alot of rewards but when you promote the post it gets a lot of people to see it and many of them vote on the content, my last post after it was promoted gained me over 1.3 HP and .34 HBD from over 35 people who voted on it.
