Life is not about having everything. It's about finding meaning in everything.
This quote reminds me of another quote, "Life is not about the end result, but the journey to get to the result." In plain terms we can always strive to do better but the reasons as to why we want to do better should have some sort of meaning. On the flip side not everything done would likely have a clear meaning but when piece together it can convey one common goal.
Example we want to earn more money in life to buy and spend the way we choose. The way to earn more can be from multiple stream of income which in turn is multiple ways of performing tasks only for one common goal, make more money. Finding meaning will always make it better to do something and has some form of motivation. We have one life and may always crave for more but without meaning we may stray off from set goals.
