Today's coin reveal post features the 20oz Silver bar struck by Scottsdale Mint. This is my seventh post featuring coins, bars and rounds produced by Scottsdale Mint. Scottsdale is a precious metals mint located in Scottsdale, Arizona in the USA. They manufacture and distribute amazing precious metals coins, bars and rounds direct to the consumer via their online website.
Every product that I have seen produced by Scottsdale Mint is of exceptional quality and design, the company states that they have 'a strict quality policy and only create products that exceed the highest standards of purity, weight, quality, and craftsmanship'.

1. Coin Story
The 20oz Silver bar features iconic Scottsdale lion logo to the left of the bar. The elongated loaf-style is affectionately name the "KitKat" bar by the stacker community due to its likeness to the world famous chocolate bar manufactured by Nestle.
I have included an image below of a Nestle KitKat chocolate bar and you can see similar the chocolate bar and silver bar are to each other. So please take a break and enjoy reading this post about the Scottsdale "KitKat" bar.

2. Coin Packaging
Individual cast bars are shipped in protective packaging. When purchasing multiple bars, they come packaged in a sturdy cardboard box to protect the bar and to ensure that the package does not get damaged on delivery.
Poured cast bars are very easy to store. If you are not too concerned with natural silver tarnish and toning, then the bars can be stored almost anywhere. If would like to preserve the shine and silver shimmer of the cast bar, then it is best to store the bars in a cool, dry location. This can also be aided by using silica gel packets in your storage location to absorb excess moisture from the air.
3. Coin Details
a. Purity
The purity of the cast bar is .999 fine silver.

The obverse of the bar is basically flat and smooth, but it has unique textures, pour marks and natural imperfections. Silver bar stackers appreciate and enjoy the unique imperfections of each of their cast bars.

Shiny silver, the likes of which I haven't owned in quite awhile. They should offer them in a four-pack to complete the resemblence to the KitKat bar! :) Keep stacking!
