As you may know, our beloved dev have introduced new rules for the payout. A 12h delay, in order to make the trending page more active.
The 12 hours delay is great, the posts are moving fast off the trending page to let their place to new posts.
But as you may have seen, posts with a 4 weeks payout get stuck on the trending page.
(I love you Cheetah, but seeing you for 4 weeks up-there is a bit too much)
Do you have a solution for this? Do you plan to reduce the number of day you can be seen on the trending page (without changing the 4 weeks payout period)
@ned & @dan this message is for you. But anyone can say below what they think about that.
I am sure this is an oversight or a bug. Even I don't want to see my post for a month, that is just stupid.
I would also much prefer my post on identity theft be read.
Fuck every account that is flagging you @anyx
We need to start making a list and downvoting these bastards.
Your bot exists for the greater good of the steem network.
Let's upvote the hell out of this post after 12 hours so we can see it for 4 weeks just to prove a point.
JK ;)
That's not a bad idea actually!
I have no problem with it plus it would provide a nice windfall for you. :)
It would be an excellent way to prove a valid point.
Give em a shuffle
I second this motion.
Definitely seems like a lot of the same posts get stuck in the trending and many other good posts get lost and forgotten in the mix of it all, something needs to change
I think this is entirely contingent on the article actually trending for 30 consecutive days.
Trending is just the highest pending payouts listed in descending order, so it will stay up there.
In my opinion it was silly to change Steem blockchain rules to payout time to address what was actually a Steemit.com issue. And now the Steemit.com issue will have to be resolved the way it should have been in the first place, by putting an age limit (or age-based decay) on trending posts.
Yes, I also think this problem should be handle by Steemit.com, with a limit of 2 or 3 days max on the trending page.
