The 8th video of the series The Art of Gold Mining by BogiZimlja.
Climb down into the Never Can Tell gold mine and see the disseminated sulphides in wall rocks, brittle fracture-gold bearing quartz vein. The vein is narrow but very rich in parts. The known production is about 200kg of quartz gold specimens for something like 600+ ounces of gold at Menzies battery in the 70's. In addition 90 ounces recorded crushing at Laverton battery. Currently I am sinking a new shaft alongside the old stope away from the blown ground....See The art of gold mining 2 for a peek at the way it looked when we began here. Please note I hold the active mining title encompassing the mine and surrounding areas before you head out there thinking to look around before asking. Thanks
