I actually wrote about this. There were some good arguments for both sides.

Personally, I think it should be legalized. Special interest groups don't want it to be legalized because they use sex as a tool to control people (mostly men) and get them to do things that they do not want to do.

This is far more powerful than any tax revenue they can generate from legalizing sex work.
