In my opinion, and only my opinion, when it comes to psychedelics and magic, first learn your ritual and processes skillfully, and have a good deal of experience with them completely sober, then if you wish to add psychedelics to the scenario, by all means do it. To use any substance for the sake of enhancement without knowing the full expression of the magic first, means that you will in turn potentially doubt any results you get later as a result of the substance rather than a true experience.
