I can imagine this piece and People Change side by side in a poetry collection--point and counter point. Each works well alone, but they are richer together.
I remember the first time I read a stream of consciousness piece, years ago, in college. I didn't go to a very challenging high school so great writers were a treat reserved for more mature years. Your two pieces here remind of that early rich experience, which demands a particular kind of attention. Your pieces are far less obscure than some of those were.
Obviously, I enjoyed one of your pieces enough to look up the other. Will upvote both later, when my VP is replenished. Just wanted to comment while the impression was fresh in my mind.
Addendum: I can't wait for VP to replenish--keep voting for stuff I like. I may stay in VP desert forever. So here are your well-deserved votes.
