Whatever you are doing right now... you are becoming better at it!

The human brain is a network of approximately 100 billion neurons, and whatever you are doing, neural connections will be created.

Depending on which neurons get stimulated, you'll have connections that will become stronger and others that will become weaker.

So whenever we learn a new skill, we are changing how our brain is wired on a deep level. We actually become better at whatever it is we focus on!

This is what they call neuroplasticity. Let me link the definition from wikipedia here as well:

Neuroplasticity, also known as brain plasticity or neural plasticity, is an umbrella term that describes lasting change to the brain throughout an individual's life course. The term gained prominence in the latter half of the 20th century, when new research showed that many aspects of the brain can be altered (or are "plastic") even into adulthood. This notion is in contrast with the previous scientific consensus that the brain develops during a critical period in early childhood and then remains relatively unchanged (or "static").

Did you read that?! Even when we get older our brain still changes and we can still rewire ourselves into becoming smarter, better, faster,.... Kanye style! So no more excuses mkay!

Virtually any sort of skill can be created through training. Look at Rüdiger Gamm for example who used to fail at math and became a famous mental calculator, capable of performing extremely complex mathematics!

Isn't this amazing news? Instead of looking up to other people, you can actually become them! You just have to take responsibility, work on becoming more self aware and focus yourself on whatever it is you want to get better at!

Since everything depends on which neurons you have been stimulating throughout your life, it might be interesting to know this goes both ways and also counts for negative thinking. So what are you going to do about that?

Not good idea to double post :)

Thanks for sharing your story by the way! It gives a lot of hope and I am actually even considering investing my savings if I keep growing like this!!! Really curious where it all will lead to! It was one hell of a first week, but hey maybe I just got lucky.... We'll see!😉

Take care and I hope everything chilled down at your end by now!

That's awesome @athenajade and thanks for writing back! I think you are doing great and have all the potential do be amongst the top bloggers on Steemit as we go! You are a YouTuber so you know the importance of having a very long term approach to building a brand, visibility and earning and the same things apply here. Hoping you will consider making it to SteemFest 2017 and I'm sure you will love the atmosphere and the people there!

Things were going great until my friend's sister passed away this weekend, so it did pull me down but that's life and we have to take it as it comes.

You don't think so? I saw others do it and read somewhere it's actually good to do as a lot of the time your posts are not being noticed and then posting it on different hours might help to get it noticed.

But ye, just a noob here so still learning and checking things out :)

Its not really worth it in my opinion. Votes count on posts up to 7 days anyway, so if someone where to stumble upon your account they have the option to check through other posts of yours and vote them up before the payout (like I'm doing right now) if they want.

Maybe re-posts would be okay a week or so after (if they didn't receive any attention the first time around) but generally we prefer originality and new content.

Okido! That makes sense! I read it on a blog and someone mentioned it as well that it might be a good thing to do and since he was making a lot of money I decided to check it out but you got a point! Thanks for explaining! I appreciate it! Also thanks for the crazy support so far! I haven't been motivated to put out any content for a long time but am so excited now!💗💗💗 If I keep growing like this I might even invest my savings!!! But we'll see... Don't know if I got lucky or.... Either way thank yoooeeeee for everything!

:) thank Athene that I happened to watch his stuff way back and recognized you ^^ but I guess you would've started making rewards at some point anyway!

and yeah, steemit is reviving blogging, even I who never blogs or writes down anything except dumb comments on reddit is enjoying it. :P

@acidyo has the points down well and you should certainly keep writing and sharing here!

But there's really no need for sharing content again also I think you should keep your posts to 3-4 a day and spread them out a little. You might get a better engagement on the same IMO.

@acidyo correct me if I'm wrong here but more than 4 posts in 24 hours reduces visibility or rewards per post? I can't remember the exact logic but there was something introduced in a HF algo long ago that disincentivized more than 4 blogs a day to prevent spam. Do you know if it's still there or has been removed?
