Motivation for learning

In order to significantly increase the motivation of students it is necessary to use a full arsenal of methods and techniques for organizing cognitive activity:

Verbal (conversation, lectures, stories)
Visual and practical methods (to reduce fatigue, increase interest)
Search methods (allowing the child to solve the problem on his own)
Methods of independent learning (it generates an incentive to do better than a neighbor's)
It must be borne in mind that the child's educational activity is always a joint activity (with a teacher, with peers). Individual educational activity is an abstraction. The pupil always (explicitly or implicitly) uses the socially-worked out methods of teaching actions given to him by the senior mentor, correlates his actions and evaluations with the assessments of others. In this respect, educational activity is always permeated with social interactions, communication of the child with other people.

There are the following cognitive methods for motivating students:

Emotional methods (encouragement, punishment)
Cognitive methods (reliance on life experience, performance of creative tasks)
Willful methods (making demands, informing about obligatory results)
Social methods (development of a desire to be useful to the Motherland, Country)
