I’ve seen far too many fall into the peer pressure of spending $15-20 daily on buying a lunch just to fit in. They then wonder why they are so broke.
With how unhealthy the cheaper and more convenient fast food items are people end up spending way too much on what they consider healthier. At least here you can walk into a couple of stores and buy a day old pre-made salads they discounted to sell it. Other than them providing way too much dressing in a container they are not too bad or expensive. I tend to find they last a couple days after buying and more than enough for 2 lunches.
Yeah, if you do the math for the year the difference is astonishing. While many want to make the changes they often find it difficult to shift the mindset... and the peer pressure is the thorn in the side of this change taking place. The psychological construct is also very interesting.
