Well, I think there's an issue with peer pressure as a result of association.

Ouch! Green. This has brought back the memories of when I had the palm of my hand slapped with a flip-flop (that was my mother's weapon of choice). 😅
As peer pressure resulting from association, Asch's line-length judgement experiment offers incredible insights into this. Through it he found support to the claim that we oftentimes go along with groups just because we are afraid of social disapproval. A process which in social psychology we call normative influence.
