You would probably feel anxious right you'd be panicking to be stressed but what if you had no time to panic what if you knew that you were getting attacked in three seconds by the so-called tiger this is fear vs anxiety
Anxiety and fear are closely related to each other but have very distinct differences. Let's start with anxiety, anxiety is the apprehension or worry of a future threat this is the guy in the park enjoying his afternoon and this is the same guy remembering he has a date in 30 minutes and he's socially awkward good luck guy, now seeing a picture of something you fear can trigger a great deal of anxiety it's important to note that a phobia by its psychological definition is an anxiety disorder you might think you're experiencing fear when really it's just your brain rapidly starting to gather up all those experiences and negative thoughts. Your brain is in panic mode but there's no real threat fear is an emotional response to an immediate threat if you're afraid of spiders and you see one then you're afraid that your life is in danger because your body will immediately react to that specific situation you're either going to punch that spider and it's stupid little spider face or you're going to run a marathon in the opposite direction that is fight or flight.
