Perks of Being an Introvert

in #psychology7 years ago (edited)

People look at introversion differently. Depends on how individuals define it. It may have negative connotation, but it isn't as bad as others think it is. Here are few advantages of being an introvert;

Seeing Things Clearly
Isolation will give people ample time to get a good look at the wider picture of life, from a distance. Candid and raw pictures of how the world is. Because sometimes, if you are going to look at things in a closer perspective, you don't get to see every detail of it. A clearer view of reality.

No Complication

How these people influence you and your thoughts about the essential part of living, makes a huge difference in your judgments. If you indulge less, the tendency of bias is also lesser. With minimal human intervention, you'll take the full credit of what you think, what you've done and how you become the way you are. You won't have to think about what others has to say about you or your deeds. You would know for a fact that, whatever you've done, you'll be fully responsible for of all its consequences and no one else.

Lesser Drama

It's hard enough to deal with your own drama, so when you distance yourself from people, you will take a much lighter load. You won't have to think of the possibilities, that what happened to them, might happen to you too. The lesser you know about their activities, the lesser worries you'll get.

Lesser Possibility to Feel Pain

You won't get a knife then stab yourself, other people will do it for you, so the number of people you get yourself involved with, is directly proportional to the intensity of pain you'll feel and the frequency of its occurrence.

More Time for Yourself

This might be misunderstood as being narcissistic, but loving, and making time for yourself, is way better than caring too much about others, who'll just end up betraying your trust, crashing your soul and breaking your heart into pieces.

Fatter Wallet

Finding happiness within yourself , requires lesser maintenance than having to extract joy from other people. When you learn to celebrate yourself, you won't have to spend too much to achieve the state of euphoria. Things people genuinely want and need are often free. Not a single centavo required.

This post does not promote introversion or total isolation. This is just a clear proof that it isn't bad to be an introvert. This is also to give the readers an idea of how it's like to live an introverted life.
