If you ever saw a young butterfly trying to get out of its cocoon, you'll find that it's not an easy process. Sometimes it can take hours just to break the shells of the cocoon.
But here's the thing:
If you try to help the butterfly by loosening up the grip, yes, you will ease the process, and the butterfly will be release.
However, it won't fly. Rather, the slow glide to the ground will be the only time it will experience "flight".
You see, during the difficult process of breaking out from the cocoon, is when the butterfly's wings will gain its strength. If it takes the easy way out, it just won't fly.
So in life, you can desire success. It's a worthy goal. But if you ever had a wish, wish for the opportunity to attempt at success. Believe it or not, most people never got the opportunity, but you do. :)
Mini Motivation is my own daily strategy to inspire myself. From Motivation, we gain Inspiration. From Inspiration, we achieve Momentum. And the rest, they say, is history.
Hope it helps nudge you a bit too in the right direction.
Oh it did? Let me know in the comments, and of course an upvote would be a nice motivation for me. :)
Stay awesome!
Wait, why's Mav posting on Steemit nowadays?
Well, unlike other blogging and social media platform, Steemit is the only platform that allows me to earn cryptocurrency when I engage with it. Yup, one Steem is about USD7, and you, too, can earn Steem Dollars every time you:
- Create content (articles, blog posts, podcasts, videos, photos)
- Upvote (like) other people contents
- Comment on other people's posts
- Have discussions, share opinions etc!
Yup, basically it's the very same thing you're doing on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc all along!
The only difference? For once you can earn a nice income on the side!
Sign up for a free Steemit account, and you can thank me by coming back and upvoting this article. And guess what, you will earn Steem too for doing that! #awesome
@maverickfoo upvoted!
Many thanks!
Speaking of success: when I first met you, few months back you only had 400Steem - look at you now! Steem on mate :)
Yeah, lots of changed in a few months. Have bought into a few other coins too.
I think it's less than 4 months ago that I started my first post. Boy time sure flies.
Great inspiration here @maverickfoo.
Thanks bro! Have a great week ahead!
The heat of the furnace is very critical to the brightness of gold. Do not cut corners.
Thanks @maverickfoo for this perspective
Hey, that's one great metaphor there! Thanks for sharing! Following you now.
Upvoted to motivate @maverickfoo to continue motivating Steemians!
One thing leads to another, an action leads to another. To beat inaction, first we must take action. Awesome series coming up!!
Thanks Bro! Great to see your (politically) better half on Steemit too! Crypto Couple!
i like this mindset. thanks
It's free! Haha! A mindset like this is easy to keep when it's smooth sailing, but when it's storming, it's gonna test us all!
@originalworks
Thanks @maverickfoo,
Yep, a one of a kind platform here . I am still getting accustomed to it and looking for potential groups to join and team up with. Btw, good analogy with the baby Butterfly. I think there are plenty in here who are just starting out and working feverishly to get to the point where they can "fly" unabated. Cheers to them :)
Hi @robertandrew, welcome welcome welcome to the greatest platform for blogging! Ok, that was a bit circus-y, but the truth is, Steemit is just that awesome!
Thank you Maverick, look forward to connecting with you as well as many others here. Blogging is a passion of mine for many years now and honestly this is like a dream come true :)
I've been writing for the longest time, and frankly, other than marketing Contents, I've never made much writing before.

I wasn’t quite motivated to get up to do whats needed to be done this morning. As I read through this post, it gives me the push that I needed. Thanks a lot. Well said. Will keep it in mind 🙂
We're on a long haul- this is a marathon, not a sprint :) you'll be tired after a sprint but you'll learn to conserve your energy and control your pacing and breath in a marathon. Be a marathoner, not a sprinter, unless your clients need that brief by tomorrow LOL @edmundang
@maverickfoo love the tagline. When I don't feel like reading long posts, a perfect length like this one will do just nice <3
@deborism, this is just a perfect analogy and could not have said it better myself. Thank you
Always focus on the first 5 minutes that will lead to you doing the rest. If it's writing, just simply start the first paragraph and free flow till you get the momentum. If it's a morning walk, then it could be sleeping in your sports wear, have your toothbrush ready and the moment you're up, in under 5 minutes, you'll be out for the walk.
Once we get into the flow of things, the momentum will push us forward.
Cheers!
