Mini Motivation #21 - What year is it for you?

in #psychology7 years ago

One of the biggest failures of men, is when we see the end results of others and want that. It could be a award-winning career, a product loved by many, or a technology that elevated the perspectives of the human race.

What they fail to see was the years, sometimes even decades, that led to that end results. They didn't see the sleepless nights, the rejections after rejections, the losses they suffered in relationships, the ridicule of fellow men, the sad faces of loved ones.

And yet, because of determination, persistence and grit, they made it through. But if you watch closely, you'd see many who tried as hard and still failed. Even on the path to success, these champions walked through the valley of fallen dreams.

Even on Steemit, you may see someone raking in high amounts of payout, having tons of good followers and living a good living. But if you look at the effort they put in, it's hardly ever an overnight success. Even the skills they had was developed before the platform came about.

So fret not if efforts are slow and rewards are far. As long as you're making good progress, even 1% a day, that adds up to a lot in a long run.

Stay strong, and Steem On!

Mini Motivation is my own daily strategy to inspire myself. Mostly 3 minute reads.

From Motivation, we gain Inspiration. From Inspiration, we achieve Momentum. And the rest, they say, is history.

Hope it helps nudge you a bit too in the right direction.

Oh it did? Let me know in the comments, and of course an upvote would be a nice motivation for me. :)

Stay awesome!

Wait, why's Mav posting on Steemit nowadays?

Well, unlike other blogging and social media platform, Steemit is the only platform that allows me to earn cryptocurrency when I engage with it. Yup, one Steem is about USD7, and you, too, can earn Steem Dollars every time you:

  • Create content (articles, blog posts, podcasts, videos, photos)
  • Upvote (like) other people contents
  • Comment on other people's posts
  • Have discussions, share opinions etc!

Yup, basically it's the very same thing you're doing on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc all along!

The only difference? For once you can earn a nice income on the side!

Sign up for a free Steemit account, and you can thank me by coming back and upvoting this article. And guess what, you will earn Steem too for doing that! #awesome

Totally agree! Never give up and even a failure is still a progress!

Hence the term - Failing Forward!

Someone told me that one cannot be motivated by others. one can be inspired by others. motivation is self. So which is first inspiration or motivation?.. hahahaha... I am inspired by you @maverickfoo

I like to think that motivation is from outside, inspiration is from within. But that's semantics. :)

Yes,it's so true.People very often want what others have and they dont estimate the efforts.
I like very much your posts, you make me I want to comment not because I ll be paid but I love to!!!Sometimes I have not time for it.
I see it is not so easy here with steemians but ideology is great. Its amazing that we get inspiration one from another.
Since Im with steemians community I have hope again and I have motivation!!!
We must win!!!!

Thanks for your lovely comment, @martaedyta. Hope you're having a great weekend!

This one's going far @maberickfoo. This is the year of too many cryptos..

core layer: hard-work and determination

but doing it smart with right strategies, help and inspiration from others, and luck must be added on top.

Very true! Working Hard +Smart!

You are correct. Sometimes seeing blogs with huge payout can be discouraging. You'd feel like you are wasting your time, trying to get to where they are. It hurts the most when you think you publish more interesting content than they do. I have come to discover that patience is a virtue very few people have but it is very rewarding path to success. For all reading, be patient, publish quality posts, interact with other bloggers, leave comments worth reading, network on steemit chat or discord and one day you will find your sleepless nights paying off. Be patient. Peace

Good advice there, @warpedpoetic. Yes, patience is a virtue, and combined with some evaluated experience and willingness to make adjustments, success is just beyond the horizon. You can see it!

Totally agree! what people see is tip of the iceberg but didn't notice all the hard work and sacrifices. Thanks for sharing!

Like pearls and diamonds, it takes time to become something truly valuable.

Thank you so much for sharing such beautiful stuff. This is really inspiring for the newbies like me. I am daily improving my profile on Steemit even if it a minute contribution. I will continue to do so and I hope and believe that it will definitely pay off in the longer run.

How true, every bit u wrote.. good one..
