When you have the chance, talk to your parents or guardians, and asked them if they can help you recall a time, long long ago, when you were still a baby. A baby, trying to walk.
Well, frankly, if you'd seen any other babies trying to walk, yours wasn't that far different.
You see, a baby will try, with various different methods, to stand, to balance, to put one step after the other. And the baby would fall. Sure, she may cry, he may hit something on the way down, hurt themselves even.
But you wanna know a funny thing? The baby would try again. She would hold on to something, wobble, be guided by a wall maybe, just to try walking once more. And she will fall again. And this went on for a while.
Baby eventually got to walk. You, got to walk. As a matter of fact, since then, you'd sprinted, ran, jumped, scaled stairs or even far greater heights. Kinda interesting too, how you never cared how stupid you looked when you fell as a baby.
Wanna know a secret? You once did one of the hardest thing ever - to walk. Talk to anyone who has to retain their ability to walk, maybe it be after an accident or a disease, and they will tell you it's a struggle. And yet, you managed to do it all those years ago.
So if you did that amazing thing before, what's stopping you from doing other equally, or even more amazing things in life? You may have difficulties in your life right now, and you may even thought of giving because you'd fallen. Remember the younger you. Recall the determination you had to accomplish the impossible. This is not the first time you'd fallen, so there's no reason for it to be your last.
After all, who are we, if not for babies just trying to walk?
Mini Motivation is my own daily strategy to inspire myself. Mostly 3 minute reads.
From Motivation, we gain Inspiration. From Inspiration, we achieve Momentum. And the rest, they say, is history.
Hope it helps nudge you a bit too in the right direction.
Oh it did? Let me know in the comments, and of course an upvote would be a nice motivation for me. :)
Stay awesome!
Wait, why's Mav posting on Steemit nowadays?
Well, unlike other blogging and social media platform, Steemit is the only platform that allows me to earn cryptocurrency when I engage with it. Yup, one Steem is about USD7, and you, too, can earn Steem Dollars every time you:
- Create content (articles, blog posts, podcasts, videos, photos)
- Upvote (like) other people contents
- Comment on other people's posts
- Have discussions, share opinions etc!
Yup, basically it's the very same thing you're doing on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc all along!
The only difference? For once you can earn a nice income on the side!
Sign up for a free Steemit account, and you can thank me by coming back and upvoting this article. And guess what, you will earn Steem too for doing that! #awesome
This is a perfect motivation for me, sir. I am done with my engineering and finding it hard to get a job so this little motivation will tell me you have to try and try again. Thank you so much.
All the best, sir. Hope all turns out well, and even if it doesn't yet, have faith that it will.
Amazing motivation!!!Electricity and many other inventions came into reality as a result of continous trying. Thanks once more mav.
I like to think almost every aspect of our lives are from the continuous trials-and-errors of others. We should live up to the examples set by them too.
Thanks @maverickfoo for this Post. It is very interesting and fascinating how we take things like learning to walk for granted. If we could realize ( as you pointed out) how incredible it really was and channel that greatness in to other things in Life...well we would be able to accomplish much, much more
thanks again.
We're meant to do great things, bro! If we can just be a bit more bold, half a bit more foolish, a lot more daring, we would amaze even ourselves on what we can create.
Great post for motivation.people who are down in confidence must read it
