Just making the effort to remember the good and to show appreciation for the good will have a positive effect. Positive momentum builds on consistency. You probably won't go from super stressed or depressed to ecstasy in a single day, although it is possible, but it becomes likely if you can keep up the practice for many days/ weeks.
