Wow very interesting post. I have never heard of this type of things before although here in Thailand they have many similar types of things. There was a doll last year that many adults were carrying around as friends. It was very strange to see grown people with these dolls that looked like little children. People were even buying seats on planes for them. they are called Angel Dolls and are very creepy. I think that you are right, in the end it is for lonely people. But you have to be careful because it can lead to mental issues when people think that the dolls are alive. Have you heard of Angel Dolls?

About Angel Dolls I think i just heard about them, but never learn something. It sound really like a horror movie :D
It is really creepy I was in a supermarket one day and a woman was in front of me and she had what I thought was a little girl in her arms. She was talking to it lie a child. When she turned around I saw it was a doll and I almost jumped out of my skin. She looked at me and was really angry but I could not help it. People sometimes want anything they can hold on to and control. But you have to be careful because you might end up with CHUCKIE! Lol.
