Em um mundo cada vez mais intolerante com intolerantes (pode parecer estranho, mas é isso mesmo), vira e mexe nos deparamos com episódios que causam bastante polêmica, como é o caso com racismo e machismo (vide o caso recente com o Cocielo e etc).
Mas eu quero tocar aqui num ponto meio polêmico, que é um terceiro preconceito mas que por algum motivo histórico-cultural ele ainda parece ser mais tolerado que os outros, embora isso tenha melhorado ao longo dos anos.
Como o título da postagem meio que já revelou, eu defendo a tese de que homofobia e racismo são preconceitos equivalentes.
Todo mundo sabe que o racismo é horrível, pois ninguém escolhe a cor que quer nascer e ninguém deveria sofrer por conta de uma coisa que ele não deu causa nem tem culpa alguma.
Pois bem, nessa mesma linha é que defendo que a homofobia também é perversa, pois até que se prove o contrário a sexualidade humana não é algo que se escolhe, mas que se percebe. Assim como ninguém escolheu gostar ou não de comer cebola, também não escolhe a sua sexualidade.
Sei que o tema é bem polêmico e instigador, por isso mesmo que achei interessante trazer ele aqui pra ver se suscita algum debate a respeito. Afinal, comunidade não é só pra todo mundo concordar com todo mundo, mas também pra discordar, discutir, ensinar e aprender.
Portanto deixe aí a sua opinião e vamos debater sobre esse assunto. Você acha que a sociedade deveria tratar os dois preconceitos como sendo idênticos? O rigor que vale pra um valeria pra o outro? Sim ou não e por que?
