I’m a brand new player in my second season playing this game - I heard about chaos legion and wanted to be in before and understanding the game a bit to really appreciate the launch! Last season I played mostly in Novice and Bronze 3 to get a hang of the game and this season took the plunge to rent my way to some (hopeful) earnings! I’ve always been a big card game player so while I’m still learning - I think I can see what cards are good or bad by instinct a lot of the time - helpful in a new set launch!
On the 7th, I hit bronze 1 for the first time playing mostly Alric water (I know, I know, I’m part of the problem!) and was seeing DEC trickle in. When I woke up on the 8th to play my games, I hadn’t realised the starter deck was changing! I went to play Alric and he was gone - but I had Obsidian and that’s the next best thing right?
With the new Earth deck and just trying things out (and because of all the bots only playing 1 card!) I found myself well above the rating needed for silver 3, and so decided to rent for the bonus chest reward for my quest - and boy am I glad I did!
I found myself a golden foil and a rare card! While I know I can’t expect this every day, this was a real rush! I spent about 75 DEC for renting and ended up with a total profit of 540 DEC from game winnings and my rewards - hoping I can use this to keep my ranking the rest of the week and see what I get at the end of the season!
I’m really loving this game so far - and really excited going forward. My next goal is to own 1000 power (probably shouldn’t have sold my cards in that case!) so that I can at least start the season with the power needed to be earning! After that - we’ll see how far this can take me! Can’t wait for the chaos legion full release to buy some packs and test my luck!
