Hi, thought I'd reply to this having 2 degrees and one masters in programming and used to teach it and other stuff, Years ago tho, not programmed anything for year.
Wanted to say that writing a tutorial like you're doing was an excellent way to learn. And later, today anyway, could easily be marketable.

Yes that definitely works! Because in order to write a tutorial, provided you take the task seriously, you need to understand it well yourself because otherwise it's pretty hard to explain it to anybody, let alone yourself ;-)

I don't think I'm gonna learn any more languages, I've done about ummm 15 I think, tho they all have the same sort of idea after a while.
Been years if not decades since I programmed anything, (used to teach it)

With anything (including hive) I always think 'now how would I explaine this to somebody else.
