I still don’t understand how a wall will solve anything. There are so many ways to get into a country. How would a wall help the situation? It sounds like such an expensive and ineffective solution.
You’re right about that law allowing children to be separated from their parents though. That is inhumane.
Israel and Hungary couldn't secure their borders without a wall. Once their walls were built, they were (and are) a very effective border enforcement tool.
I think the wall makes it much much harder. there'll still be illegal immigration but not on such an industrial scale. I also thing the wall was partly about stopping smuggling of drugs and people which was being done by elements within the CIA.
It only stops what is transported over the Mexican border by road though. It definitely won’t stop things arriving via air and sea. Or even rail for that matter. The idea of a wall just sounds so insane.
