The other night I had this strange vivid dream where I was at a concert. It was a concert for one of my favourite bands that is "Queen." Funny thing is this is the second time I've had a dream like this. The first one being several years ago. I believe that watching the movie "Bohemian Rhapsody" last Saturday, as well as listenting to a bunch of Queen music, triggered this dream. At this concert, I saw the each of the band members and they were all wearing these identical white outfits. At the front was Freddie Mercury of course doing his thing. His appearance was reminiscent of his early days before his iconic mustache. He looked a lot like this but only in white.
I remember them singing "We are The Champions" at first and then they sang "Killer Queen" after that, they changed their outfits instantly to something more Victorian like. Their outfits looked something like this.
Freddie Mercury also changed his appearance more so to his later look with shorter hair and a mustache. They then began to sing "A Kind of Magic." I remember seeing the sky above the stage changing into something like the aurora borealus.
These lights looked, unlike anything I had ever seen. The lights glowed around everything and everyone and it was like the vibrations of the music and the beat was creating the colours. Even their instruments were begining to have this type of etherial/neon type of glow. These strange alien women then came in to join. They were are variety of hues and colours. One of them looked a lot like Gamora from "Guardians of The Galaxy." The Gamora looking woman had a very beautiful voice that sounded like a mix of Cher and Janet Jackson.
After they finished singing "A Kind of Magic." Freddie Mercury came up and said "We've got a new song for you." Then everyone clapped and cheered for a few moments. A bright beam of moonlight shown on Freddie Mercury and he began to sing his new songs. I don't remember the exact lyrics but I do remember what the beat sounded like a bit and what he was saying to some degree. His song went along the lines of this.
"Ahhhhhh yeah
I've been through so many tribulations that caused so much pain but led to great revelations
I've been bruised and beaten but I'm not de-feat-ed
We have all been saints and we have all been sinners but today we are all winners
I never gave up no matter what the naysayers but look who's laughing now
I'm on top now and there is no place I'd rather be
A bit of me is in each of you and a bit of each of you is in me and together we make perfect harmony"
Then the moon began to shine more brightly on the other band members and the backup dancers and a great melody was performed. This song was very symphonic and operatic but had rock feel to it along with something else. This song was unlike any song I had ever heard before and it is somewhat difficult to describe what it was even like.
After that final song "Queen" all went back stage and I heard Freddie's voice inside my head telling me to come backstage so I did. The band members and the back up singers and dancers were all hanging out and luaghing. Everyone was having a great time. I saw Roger Taylor looking at me and he offered me type of fruity beverage and I tried it. I really liked the taste of it and asked him what it was. He said "It's the taste of dreams." I then approached Freddie Mercury and he asked me what I thought of his new song. I told him I really enjoyed it and wished it was on a new album. He told me he had so many ideas for new songs but time ran short. Here his reign is eternal so he plays music all the time and lives wonderfully in paradise. He said he gives inspiration to aspiring musicians on earth and likes to mentor others to grow into their own as artists and performers. He told me to remember these words "There is no difference between a musician and a magician. The reason why those words sound the same and are spelled similarly is no coincidence my friend. Just like there is light and dark magic the same is true for music."
After chatting with the band mates we went to Freddie's mansion which was quite grand, ornate, and over the top just as Freddie Mercury himself is. His mansion looked a bit like Buckingham Palace mixed with some type of Greek Temple. We went inside and I saw that the floors were of red velvet carpet. I saw some of my friends there and Freddie showed me around the place. He introduced me to his pet Tiger and his Pet snow leapard. Their appearance was somewhat imposing initially but his giant cats approached me and were quite gentle as I began petting them. Freddie then walked over to his piano he said "Andrew sing me a tune anything will do." I then began to sing but I don't remember the lyrics. My voice sounded very nice like a mixture of David Bowie and Frank Sinatra. Freddie played slow and then fast and I would try to sing to match his playing. After our little jam session, Freddie said "Good job my friend you've got some true talent there. Just keep at it and like a volcano you'll go from dormant to an explosive succsess. This applies for all that you do."
I was very honored to have heard those words and I had some a great time at that party. I remember eating some more good food and telling all kinds of jokes and everybody having a great time. After so long I eventually woke up and was amazed by the great time I just had.
