Why is the DTube search not working for my upload?

in #question7 years ago

Hey guys,

I just joined steem and dtube yesterday as an alternative for Youtube and I tried to upload my first video (which was indeed successful), but it is not showing up in the search on dtube. Maybe I missed a specific setting to activate or is the search engine not working properly on dtube? Changing / saving tag keywords after the upload is furthermore giving some errors.
Do I need to take care of the advanced settings or is that for the steem post only?

The video is the following: https://d.tube/v/furo/lpyt04lk

Thanks for any help! :)

D-Tube uses blockchain to generate content. Actually developpers can't implement the search engine using the blockchain. What they did is to use a third-party search engine named AskSteem. But for an unknown reason, this third-party search engine doesn't work either. They are working on it. That's what I figured out for the moment.

Yes, there is a problem with AskSteem. Search results are always empty

I’m experiencing the exact same thing but mine won’t search anything at all. I’ve tried Safari, Chrome and even tried requesting the desktop site and still won’t work on my iPhone. Sad.

I did a search on it and found it. Maybe it takes a while for it to register with the search.
I am currently having the same issue. Hopefully time resolves it!

The search engine might need a few tweaks.

Seems like it is still not working. Videos I uploaded several days ago with a specific tag still don't show up in the search.

Search doesn't work for me either. No matter what I put into it, it only says "There is result for [search term]"

Same for me :S

Same here. Any news on this?

No news

This is really weird, for Steemit to grow, someone has to do somethin' -- I should try to learn to develop! Come-on developers--where you at!?

I don't really know how it works. Maybe I can hire a developer to fix these stuff?

The developers will fix it sooner or later. Let's not forget that all these coins are nothing without developers as well as they are nothing without people's support. PS: Search does not work for me either, I cannot search anything on d.tube :( Hopefully they fix it soon...
