RE: First post on Hive, what do I need to know?

in #questons5 years ago

Welcome back and glad to see you here. A few starting points and updates. If you used the old steemit login and posting page, the hive posting page is pretty similar. PeakD.com is a secondary front end to the Hive block chain is very similar with steempeak if you used that over on steem. (I use and like PeakD).

Communities are an actual reality almost on Hive, they are working much better than they did over on steem, and a lot of the lessons learned fro the tribe Stuff seems to have been taken to heart. Communities is why I prefer using PeakD.

A couple of the communities you might be interested in:

  • The Ink Well The Ink Well is a @curie curated community supporting fiction writers and poets on steem.
  • Writers IncCreating stories, characters, situations, plots...(Michelle Gents Community)
  • OnChainArtOnChainArt is a Community for serious artists. The focus of OnChainArt is primarily visual art. Digital or traditional doesn't matter.
    • I think this one would fit your art work especially your space ship designs and post.

PeakD makes it real easy to post in the various communities. They have a drop down that lets you pick the community to post in, and then a simple button to also add the post to your blog.

Things are a little bit calmer here in Hive for the time being, most people are trying to get along, and avoid most of the old drama from steem.

I hope you do stay around and continue to write, I did enjoy your stories.

Hi Bashadow, thanks for the info. I'm not sure how active I'll be yet but I'm hoping to get back to writing at some point and finally finish the last of my Alienbutt stories and maybe come up with a few other ideas along the way.
With us being in lockdown I've been finally finishing off work around the house and trying to keep myself motivated and my mental health ticking over so I will just see how things go here.
