Talk to anyone who as been at Burning Man and they will tell you it is a world class event of international rewound. Its an event that requires massive preparation, time, money and commitment to be a part of. Just to attend is a very serious commitment.

With that being said building an article installation at Burning Man is significantly more of a big deal.

To build an art insulation at BM requires not only an extraordinary idea, but it must be diagramed, submitted, and proven realistic (which means it can be done in the allocated time and one has the resources to complete it) then this all has to be complete and submitted 6 months BEFORE Burning Man even happens and then be APPROVED.

SO basically you have to have an epic idea, prove the means to complete it and be on the ball to file all paperwork (on time), and convince the BM commission that your Burning Man Worthy.

Then you actually have to follow through ( if you have any honor) which requires getting into the middle of the desert, working for 10 hours a day in 120 degree temps and do it without getting paid.

Yes thats Burning Man and yes its worth it!

Sustainability is of paramount importance to me so we made all the paint for this installation out of playa dust and water! We took the ONLY naturally abundant resource at Burning Man and made all the paint for our structure out of it. We painted over 30 panels encompassing the entire sound healing portal to protect it from harsh winds, sand and sun.

You can see us mixing sand and water to create "paint" here.

This is before we even started building out in the middle of nowhere in desert playa.

Burning Man is hardcore and not easy going at all. There is STRICT GPS coordinates that must be strictly adhered to.

We had journalists visiting the greatness.

Not only was it photo worthy but it was worthy of taking the time to enjoy. With the lotus petal bungi hammocks and the sound panel vortex it was a popular hang out spot.
