You've further motivated me to complete a project I've been pondering for years. The ultimate, compact, travel-legal, best of the conventional (bandages, sutures, tape, space blankets) and the traditional/indigenous (herbs, oils, honey, plant medicine) First Aid Kit. Stories like this make me want to assemble a bunch of them to tell the people I love not to leave home without.
