@zool237 Obviously, I cannot say for certain. However, I interpreted this as meaning that a man (or woman) who treats somebody who is on a "lower" level (whether that be class & income, race, or whatever society deems these levels as) the same or better as they would anybody else is an honorable person. In other words, you can see who somebody truly is when you observe them interacting with others who, for whatever reason, are worse off. Of course, humans are all equal, and hopefully that is what Rowling thinks as well.
