AWanderfulLife - Words to Live By

in #quotes7 years ago

The ocean has always drawn me. I remember being in preschool, so happy that my Grandmother was treating me to the book of my choice at our local book store. I clung to the hardcover Underwater Discoveries book by Jaques Cousteau while she tried to talk me into something more "age appropriate". I think it bothered her that there was some French guy in a tiny speedo throughout the pages but I didn't care. I had made my choice! She granted my wish and I enjoyed it over and over again, until the pages were worn. I still hold that wonder in my heart.

I used to love the adventures of Jacque Cousteau, what a wonderful choice and I'm glad you found so much enjoyable time with that kind of gift. It shows a lot about her that she would purchase the book even though she wasn't real comfortable with it. I love the ocean too but I don't get to see it often.

It’s actually kind of funny to remember how’s little information was out there compared to now. If you had any interest in the ocean, you automatically knew who he was because there weren’t that many putting out education on the sea :)

I agree, and the shows were stellar! I was hooked on Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom, too!

I failed to mention that this quote is fromThe Lebanese poet and philosopher Kahlil Gibran and my background image was taken by Jeremy Bishop and is open use. Feel free to share by resteeming :)

I love your little reminisce; memories are precious and evoke emotions forever. Be well xox
