I don't always just take photos of young ladies in various states of undress. I always enjoyed shooting wildlife and aircraft. But I was never really good at it. I lived in Lincoln most of my life and was lucky enough to constantly see Vulcans, the Lancaster, the Red Arrows in the skies. And working at Scampton I got to see the Arrows close up, and get to know some of the ground crew.
Now I live at Coningsby with the runway in sight I see Typhoons every day and summertime there is the anticipation of the BBMF (Battle Of Britain Memorial Flight) coming out of winter hibernation and being registered as airworthy for another year. Watching Leader, the Lancaster, the Spits, Hurricane and recently the Dakota up in the Lincolnshire skies is still, even after all this time, an awesome experience.
There's not many things better in my opinion than the sound of those Merlins on a summers day. But I cannot get my head round what it must have been like to see 50 or 60 Lancasters flying overhead going on a sortie.

It was very very low. Was using a 100-400 but not extended all of the way
Excellent Shot Brian, looks like it was almost on top of you lol
Mate it was that low I couldn't get it all in.
