A balcony facing Nature

in #qurator5 years ago

Given all that's going on in the world today, and after reading an interesting post here about how the way we are treating the ecossystem can contribute to the appearence of human diseases, decided to go with nature-themed photos for this week's @qurator's Photo Friday Competition.

This photo was taken in a viewpoint at the end of a trail in Madeira, a portuguese island. The island is home to a specific kind of forest called laurissilva, and if you don't know what it looks like... here's a sneak peak:

Maybe realising the spread of diseases can relate to how we are treating this planet prompts us to rethink how we do what we do. And even if there wouldn't be a connection... why not protect these landscapes? And all the fauna and flora that they contain?

Let us just hope it's not too late. And let's hope this new reality ends sooner than later, so that these trails and these landscapes can be appreciated once again!
