The annual Tucson gem and mineral show, my first experience
In her latest post, @amberyooper is sharing with us her first experience at the annual show of gems and minerals at Tucson, Arizona, USA.
As you can see from the above picture, some of these crystals are HUGE. I chose this photo because it shows our friend @amberyooper (Hi @amberyooper, you are looking great :D)

Let's Learn How to Create a Discord Bot
If you are like me. That is "Technology-challenged", then being able to make anything that has to do with technology is like winning the Olympics game (maybe not quite, but you know what I mean! :P)
@codingdefined is giving us the chance to make a bot by coding. I haven't tried the coding program or language but it seems very easy to do, or so @codingdefined says!
So I am thinking of it this way, If I can make cookies then I think I will be able to code a bot. Hmmm...something is not quite right about this logic! Never mind! Just go and try both then let me know ;D

@derosnec is a very talented steemian, apparently in both music and drawings. In her latest post, she shows us in great details how she drew the cover for Everson Poe's last album, "The Great Disruption"

One of the @qurator's new members, @jokossita, has been featured in @enazwahsdarb's Saturday Shout-out
In her latest posts, including the one linked here, @jokossita has been writing about places she would like to visit when she will have the chance to leave her country Venezuela.
Although I am interested to know where @jokossita obtained all the information and the pictures she is sharing with us in her posts, the beautiful images used in her posts are certainly able to transport us in a dreamy trip to these places.
If you have been wishing to travel as well, don't despair. Maybe one day, this dreamy trip becomes a real trip and you will make real memories from it

Tiered Upvotes Live and Updated!
Qurator just posted its Upvote Tiers update. All members can visit this post to see in what tier they are and what kind of upvotes they can expect from Qurator.
With the growth in members and the Tiers being activated we saw quite a decrease in T0 vote weight/value. It is still upvotes for life so as long as you keep posting you will receive your upvotes from Qurator. We will keep leasing in order to support as many minnows as we can. We rely on teamwork though. If you support us with Delegations, Upvotes or SP leases we can bump you up a Tier and you can receive larger upvotes while supporting the lower tiered members. If you don't really participate or take part you will always stay at Tier 0.
Win with comments!
Top comments on The Daily Qurator stand a chance to win a Tier 3 Membership for 1 week! So keep those comments coming! We will do this once a week in order to boost some more participation. Writing a well thought out comment might land you in a higher Tier for a week. Each week a new Top Comment will be chosen. =)
Qurator will be increasing its registration fee
Qurator is growing really fast and we want to keep supporting our members and investors with worthwhile upvotes.
After we hit 100 members the Registration Fee will be bumped up to 2 SBD/STEEM.

Qurator will be a service that helps users who spent their blood, sweat and tears on content creation to get noticed and rewarded for their efforts. Steemit has seen some incredible growth in the last few months and even though this is amazing for the platform, it might make it harder for the new Steemians to get noticed. With daily posts hovering in the 100 000's you can imagine how hard it is to get the attention you deserve for all your hard work!
That's where @qurator comes in. We want to help those who work really hard but still see little to no rewards on their posts.
What exactly does @qurator do?
We will focus on users who post quality content. Each day 5 members will be selected and their posts will be featured in the Daily Qurator.
Once a day we will resteem a high-quality post from one of our members.
Members will get an upvote from @qurator once a day. We are limiting upvotes to once a day because we want to keep it fair for all the members.
More features and give aways will follow as @qurator grows.
How do you become a member?
We want to give back to the community, but this also means we need some support from the community. We will charge a once off fee of 1 Steem/SBD to register as a @qurator member. You can enter your name or the name of a friend you would like to join @qurator in the memo field. This will give you a lifetime upvote membership. We do however reserve the right to decline certain accounts if we feel they do not contribute to posting good quality content or simply find too much plagiarism or spam posts. We have declined members before, we only support original content. We also offered tier voting weights for investors and upvoters of The Daily Qurator.
You can contact @scrooger or @gingerninja on Discord or Steemit.chat and request a review. Once reviewed we will let you know if you qualify to become a member. Afterwards simply transfer the registration fee to the @qurator account and you are all set up. We might not respond right away as we are only human and also need some sleep every now and then. Rest assured the bot sending you sweet upvotes will never sleep! We also have an awesome Discord channel that will spring to life once all you awesome members join. The Discord link will be sent after registration.
We worked out our voting weights to ensure we always stay very close or above 80% Voting Power. According to the number of members there will always be a basic voting weight.
Example 1: With 10 members each member gets a 100% upvote.
Example 2: With 20 members each member gets a 50% upvote.
Using the base upvote weight we can have Tiered Upvote Weights for investors of @qurator. Because the investors help @qurator grow bigger, the base upvote weight goes down and the investors gets bigger upvote weights. This way even the non-investors still benefit since the overall Steem Power of @qurator increases.
There are 3 ways you can become an investor in @qurator.
- Upvote The Daily Qurator post each day. This can easily be automated by using Steemvoter, follow this guide to set up Steemvoter.
- Send a certain amount of Steem (values below) to @minnowbooster with
4 quratoras you memo. This will lease SP for @qurator and give you access to a Tiered Status Upvote.
- Delegate Steem Power to @qurator. (We can help with that, simply visit
sp delegation supportin our Discord channel.)

Please note: For The Daily Qurator upvote related Tiers, we check the upvotes on posts once a week (Every Sunday) and adjust the Tiers accordingly
After reviewing the Tiers you can decide how you would like to jump up in tiers or invest. @gingerninja and @scrooger are available on Discord for any assistance or questions or you can comment on this post if you have any questions/concerns.
All the members can see their Tier Status once a week it will be posted in a separate post each Monday. Rest assured as investors and members go up or down in tiers their voting weights will be adjusted at the end of each day.

Problem with assigning gender(which I personally think is fine) is that some steemians names or accounts don't let their gender shine through ....at least not on the surface. And once or twice I have mentally mis-gendered someone.

We update and count the votes each SUNDAY so if you have upvote the post for the week then we will upgrade you to a higher Tier for the next week. =)

My idea for what we call ourselves:
Quarks - Fundamental constituents of matter which combine to form hadrons. They cannot be directly observed individually, so much of what is known about them is drawn from observing the hadrons themselves. Just as we are individuals, but make up the Qurator team, how we combine our diverse qualities as a team is what makes us what we are.
