I can understand the frustrations of various ethnic groups but they all must also remember that they can only improve when everybody improves.

I agree with the spirit of your essay but not all of the content. I think the above statement is a veiled way of saying, minorities should stay in their place and the middle-class should be content with the 1% getting more and more of the wealth. I think the truer statement is—when conditions for oppressed minorities improve, society improves.
